Sunday Brunch.

If you are ever in Newport Beach, CA you must try True Food Kitchen. I always leave satisfied without the bloated feeling. True Food promotes healthy eating with fresh and pure ingredients from local produce suppliers. The interior design + food is simple yet still amazing. A definite must to experience.

I've tried a good amount of the menu and my absolute favorites are the House Smoked Salmon and Spaghetti Squash Casserole.

Hangover RX

Sunday, I tried some new dishes with my usual Hangover RX drink from the list of Natural Refreshments (another must try!).

We started off with the Shrimp Dumplings with shiitake mushrooms + ginger + broccoli. This was an okay appetizer, probably wouldn't order again. For my entree, I ordered the Grass Fed Bison Burger with umami mushrooms + onions + mayo + Parmesan on Flax bread. The burger comes with a side of sweet potato hash or Kale salad OR half and half (which is what I got, since I love tasting everything). The boyfriend ordered the All Natural Steak Tacos with avocado + cotija cheese + tomatillo salsa + sour cream + anasazi beans. Both these dishes are worth trying, but the burger was my fave of the day, so juicy and filled with many flavors.

Brunch wouldn't be complete without dessert! I've been having major sweet tooth cravings and since Sprinkles is only a block away, I finally satisfied my craving for cupcakes, specifically Red Velvet.
